Strategic Presence of the National Industry
Portugal’s presence at FEINDEF was more than just a showcase of technological capabilities — it was a space for direct engagement with military and business decision-makers, aiming to create strategic partnerships, access new markets, and enable integration into international value chains.
The following entities were present: A. Silva Matos Metalomecânica, Aero Voo de Portugal, CEiiA, EID, ETI, Lavoro Europe, OPTIMAL GROUP, and Pewag. In addition to these companies exhibiting at the national stand, several dozen other Portuguese business delegations also attended the event.

Admiral Jorge Pires, Superintendent of Materiel
Rear Admiral António Mateus, Director of Ships, Portuguese Navy
Major-General Rui Freitas, Joint Chief of Staff, representing the Chief of Staff of the Portuguese Air Force
Colonel João Henriques, Portugal’s Defence Attaché in Spain
On 12 May, the Chief of Staff of the Spanish Army, General Jaime Domínguez Buj, visited the national stand and was introduced to the competencies and solutions offered by the Portuguese entities.
These visits underscore the strategic interest in strengthening relations between the defence industry and military branches, as well as between Portugal and Spain, and in promoting new forms of international cooperation in the defence sector.
