The Chairman of idD Portugal Defence, Ricardo Pinheiro Alves, took part in the opening of the second day of the 8th New Space Atlantic Summit, which this year was held under the theme “The Future of Space in Portugal”.
The event, organised by the Portuguese Space Agency, had a strong Defence presence, bringing together military branches and industry to address topics such as national Earth observation capabilities, pathways to the industrialisation of the space sector, scientific research, technological innovation, and the growing role of the defence economy in the new space paradigm.
At a time when Portugal is deepening its contribution to decision-making within the European Space Agency (ESA) framework, this edition of the New Space Atlantic Summit stands out as a platform for national valorisation and international cooperation in the space domain.
