Last week, idD Portugal Defence participated in the III Joint Working Group Portugal-India.
With the presence of the Director-General of National Defence Policy, Major-General Nuno Lemos Pires, who chaired the meeting, and representatives from the Indian side, the discussion focused on the interest in expanding bilateral Defence relations, particularly through strengthening existing cooperation and consolidating political-strategic talks.
With a history of cooperation in the field of defence industries, idD Portugal Defence sought to promote discussion around potential opportunities in terms of acquisitions, joint development and production, research, and bilateral initiatives. idD Portugal Defence also provided a briefing to the Indian delegation on its activities and the capabilities of the Defence Technological and Industrial Base (DTIB).
