The 1st Portuguese-Italian Defence Industries Conference will take place in Rome on July 2-3.
This initiative aims to strengthen the bilateral relationship between Portugal and Italy in the defence industries sector by fostering the exchange of information on both countries’ procurement programs, integrating entities into value chains, and establishing partnerships and consortia to prepare applications for European funding. The event will also include visits to Italian companies and opportunities for B2B and B2G meetings among participants.
The event is organized through a bilateral partnership between Portugal and Italy, involving, on the Portuguese side: the Embassy of Portugal in Rome, the Directorate-General for National Defence Policy, the Directorate-General for National Defence Resources, the Armed Forces General Staff, AICEP Portugal Global, idD Portugal Defence, and AED Cluster Portugal; and on the Italian side: the General Secretariat of Defence and the Federation of Italian Industries for Aerospace, Defence, and Security (IADA).
