idD Portugal Defence was present at Segurex 2023, alongside 11 Portuguese companies from the National Defense Technological and Industrial Base (Beyond Composite, Beyond Vision, CITEVE, Europa Victrix, Fibrenamics, OGMA, Partyard, Skypro, Swatter Company, Thales Edisoft, and Trotinete), from October 10 to 12 in Pavilion 3 – Stand 3D09, at FIL – Parque das Nações.
On the second day of the fair, October 11, idD received a visit from the Secretary of State for National Defense, Carlos Lopes Pires, who had the opportunity to get a close look at the 11 exhibiting companies and their various products, ranging from technical textiles to aeronautics, including information and communication systems and UAVs.
The joint participation aimed to promote collaboration between the Defense Industry and innovative companies in areas such as security, technology, and prevention.
On the third day of the event, October 12, the conference “Business Opportunities for DTIB: Relevant Aspects of the National Offering” took place under the theme “The Security and Defense Ecosystem as Sectors of Sovereignty.” The conference featured the presence of Sérgio Barbedo, General Manager of Thales Edisoft Portugal, Nuno da Penha Coutinho, Director of Institutional Relations at OGMA, Pedro Madeira Rodrigues from Minsait, Nuno Ávila, Director of DEIMOS, and Teresa Ferreira, Director of Satellite Navigation at GMV. The conference was moderated by Alexandra Pessanha, idD Portugal Defence’s CEO.
Segurex 2023 took place simultaneously with Portugal Smart Cities, aiming to enhance synergies among various sectors related to city organization and security. The event aimed to improve the quality of life for citizens and create comprehensive business opportunities.
