idD Portugal Defence participated, on Friday, 10th of September, in the first meeting of the European Union Expert Group on Policies and Programmes Relevant to EU Space, Defence and Aeronautics.
During this first meeting of the expert group, DG DEFIS mentioned the state of the European Defence Fund and the Space programme, and the experts shared their reflections on the impact of the main trends concerning the EU Defence and Aerospace Industry, and what it needs to be more resilient and competitive
The European Commission Expert Group on Policies and Programmes Relevant to EU Space, Defence and Aeronautics aims to provide a forum for discussion, consultation and promotion of synergies in regard to the preparation and implementation of EU regulations, programmes and policies within the Space, Defence and Aeronautics industries. WIth around 61 members, entrepreneurial and research entities, SME, start-ups and organisations, idD Portugal Defence and CoLAB +ATLANTIC (+ATL) are the two Portuguese entities selected to integrate this forum.
