idD reforça presença nacional na EURONAVAL 2024 em Paris

idD Portugal Defence, represented by the Chairman of the Board, Carlos Félix, accompanied the Portuguese delegation at EURONAVAL 2024 in Paris, reaffirming support for the eleven national companies present in the Portugal Pavilion.

The event, held from November 4th to 7th at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre, is one of the most important global trade fairs in the naval defence industry, focusing on key areas such as maritime defence, maritime security, and shipping, and is held biennially.

The national delegation included the Minister of National Defence, Nuno Melo, the Secretary of State for Defence, Álvaro Castello-Branco, the Chief of Staff of the Navy, Admiral Henrique Gouveia e Melo, and the Portuguese Defence Attaché in Paris, Captain Sérgio da Silva Pinto, reflecting the country’s strong commitment to the growth and international presence of the Portuguese defence industry.

Among the Portuguese companies participating in EURONAVAL 2024 were Beyondcomposite, Beyond Vision, blueOASIS, EID S.A., LusoSpace, Meditor DAS, OceanScan-MST, Ricardo & Barbosa, TEKEVER, Thales Edisoft Portugal, and Vera Navis. These companies, which focus on the development of drones, unmanned underwater vehicles, communication systems, system integration, and naval architecture, highlight the progress and innovative capabilities of the national industry in the defence sector, contributing to establishing Portugal as a key player in the industry.

EURONAVAL 2024 stands out for its comprehensive approach to naval defence missions and maritime security, providing an environment conducive to the development of new partnerships and the exchange of technological and strategic knowledge.
