idD Portugal Defence participated in the Egypt Defence Expo 2021 (EDEX), which took place between November 29th and December 2nd, 2021, in Cairo, Egypt. As part of its mission to promote the Defence Economy and the Portuguese Defence Technological and Industrial Base, idD Portugal Defence held a total of 20 meetings with entities and companies from several countries, with a particular focus on Egyptian government entities.
As part of its participation in EDEX 2021, idD Portugal Defence also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), which aims to promote cooperation in the area of defence economy and strengthen bilateral economic relations between the two countries.
idD Portugal Defence’s participation in EDEX 2021 was also aimed at promoting the national industry in its businesses and at the meeting of partners for projects of national and Egyptian interest. Participation in this fair was also aimed at establishing new relations with counterparts in Egypt.
