idD Portugal Defence, in partnership with NERLEI – Associação Empresarial da Região de Leiria, organised yesterday, September 21, the Defence Economy Forum – Strategic Opportunity for Portugal.
The event included the participation of the Minister of National Defence, João Gomes Cravinho, and the chairman of idD Portugal Defence, Marco Capitão Ferreira, in a panel about the Future of the Economy Defence.
Also participating in this panel were the president of NERLEI, António Poças, and the president of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, Rui Pinto Pedrosa.
During the Forum, participants had the opportunity to obtain information on the Defence Economy and align strategies for conquering new markets and new business opportunities, in addition to the dissemination of new European financing mechanisms in the field of defence.
Another highlight was the holding of a work session with representatives of companies in the Leiria region on the needs, opportunities and constraints of entities operating in this market.
The working session was attended by the Member of the Board of idD Portugal Defence, Catarina Nunes, and the President of the General Assembly of NERLEI, Jorge Santos, in addition to testimonies from different representatives of companies in the Leiria region.
