idD Portugal Defence participated in the Army Innovation Day – Innovating with the Army in Coimbra on February 4, 2025, an initiative organized by the Portuguese Army and the Pedro Nunes Institute (IPN), which brought together companies, start-ups, academic and industrial representatives, as well as civilians and military personnel. The event focused on modernization and technological innovation, highlighting the solutions companies can provide to enhance the efficiency and operational capacity of the Military Institution.
Among the prominent panels were topics such as Innovation and Technological Modernization in the Army, Autonomous Remote Systems, Geospatial Solutions for Defence, and Energy Efficiency, Water, Sustainability, and Environmental Protection.
The event also featured speeches from the Commander of Land Forces, Lieutenant-General Silva Ferreira, the President of the IPN Board, João Gabriel, and the Chairman of idD Portugal Defence, Ricardo Pinheiro Alves, who emphasized the importance of collaboration between Defence, Industry, and innovation institutions.
