Descrição do projeto

DISCRETION aims at designing and developing an optical software defined network solution for secure and resilient communication.

The communication technology project “Disruptive SDN secure communications for European Defence” (DISCRETION) aims at integrating and combining the technologies of software defined network (SDN) and quantum key distribution. This combined with legacy optical networks will build a highly secure, scalable and resilient network control architecture for advanced tactical operation services and create a degree of autonomy for European defence forces.

Descrição do projeto

MIRICLE will develop an innovative counter naval mine warfare solution.

The project “Mine Risk Clearance for Europe” (MIRICLE) addresses the main components of a stand-off mine warfare solution such as a mission system, communication network, Mine Countermeasures (MCM) vessel and robots, using artificial intelligence for supporting decision making. It will enable significant improvements to carry out all MCM missions. European navies, which have developed unique mine action capabilities including physical means, organizations, and a high level of operational excellence due to massive use of sea mines in the 20th century, will thus reinforce those MCM capabilities to keep pace with an ever evolving, complex and pervasive mine threat.

Descrição do projeto

SEANICE will develop a next generation antisubmarine warfare system based on manned-unmanned platforms teaming.

The project “antiSubmarine warfare European Autonomous Networked Innovative and Collaborative Environment” (SEANICE) targets the next-generation Antisubmarine Warfare system based on teaming manned-unmanned platforms, and will set the groundwork for an advance antisubmarine warfare system. It will build from a realistic operational scenario representing a likely use-case of Antisubmarine Warfare protection of a Task Group in the next decade within the European framework. SEANICE will take advantage of new edge technologies that leverage the best collaborative way to execute manned and unmanned missions in an optimized combination to enhance detection, tracking and classification capabilities.
