idD Portugal Defence and Thales organised the “Industry Day: idD Portugal Defence and Thales” with the aim of promoting the integration of national companies in the supply chain of one of the world’s main players in the defence sector.
This was the first of a cycle of Industry Days that idD Portugal Defence is organising in order to bring the national Defence Economy closer to the main global players, facilitating the development of cooperation channels and enhancing opportunities for the joint development of solutions and business.
The programme included informative sessions about Thales and its different procurement sectors, namely in the areas of Systems and Equipment, Mechanics or Engineering and Customer Support Services. Opportunities were presented and the functioning of the acquisition and integration processes of the French multinational’s supply chain was explained. The event culminated in bilateral meetings, with more than 20 B2B meetings of national companies taking place with Thales teams.
The event, which took place on 9 November at Forte de S. Julião da Barra, had around 70 participants from 15 national companies, idD Portugal Defence and Thales, and government institutions.
