The Chairman of idD Portugal Defence, Marco Capitão Ferreira, met with the Minister of Defence from North Macedonia, Radmila Sekerinska, last Friday, July 23rd. During the meeting, they exchange thoughts on NATO and the EU, the defence industries, cyber, innovation, capacities modernisation, programme management and potential ways to cooperate in Defence Economy matters.

Marco Capitão Ferreira presented the Portuguese Defence Economy and the approximately 40 sectors of activity of the Defence Technological and Industrial Base (DTIB), highlighting the portfolio in aerospacial, communications, simulation and training. Radmila Sekerinska showed interest in understanding better the Portuguese model for the Defence industries and in continuing conversations on cooperation and information exchange.

During a two day official visit, after North Macedonia joined NATO, being the 30th member of the Alliance, idD Portugal Defence showed willingness to cooperate in defence matters, supporting the modernisation of this new Allied Armed Forces and the development of interoperability, including through visits and meetings between entrepreneurial delegations.
